  1. Click on the “Tools” menu in Internet Explorer.

  2. Click “Internet Options”.
  3. Change to the “Privacy” tab.

  4. You can change this setting again later.

  1. Click on the Tools popup-menu in Internet Explorer.

  3. Click on the Privacy tab near the top of the window.

  1. Click on the Tools-menu in Internet Explorer.

  2. Click on the Internet Options item in the menu – a new window opens.
  3. Click on the Privacy tab near the top of the window. (See image below)

  4. Move the slider (See image) so that it is on the Accept All Cookies level
  5. Save changes by clicking Apply button and then click the OK button.

  1. Click on the Tools menu in Firefox.

  3. Change to the Privacy Settings.

  4. Set “Firefox will:” to “Use Custom settings for history”.

    1. If “Accept cookies from sites” is ticked, it will accept cookies from all sites. (Please ensure that accept third-party cookies are tick)..

    3. Click “Allow”.
    4. Click “Close”.

Flickr provides a neat little badge that lets you embed and display your public photos onto web pages and blogs.

Now Facebook too has introduced a photo badge for you to share your most recent Facebook photos on external sites. The embed code is nothing but a static image so you can even use it as an email signature in Gmail, in web forums or your various social networking profiles.

However, the difference is that while Facebook will only display your most recently uploaded photos (that are public), Flickr lets you choose Photo Sets, tags, etc. that you want to showcase inside the Flickr badge.

Configuring Encoding Options in Outlook 2003

Microsoft® Office Outlook® 2003 can automatically select an optimal encoding for outgoing e-mail messages. This feature increases the likelihood that when you send a message with Outlook, users receiving the message will see all the characters rendered properly, even if the users run older e-mail programs. Automatic messaging encoding results in less configuration work for administrators and a better experience for users.

Outlook scans the entire text of the outgoing message to determine a minimal popular encoding for the message. Outlook selects an encoding that is capable representing all of the characters and that is optimized so that the majority of the receiving e-mail programs can interpret and render the content properly.

You can also set automatic encoding for outbound messages in the user interface.

To set automatic message encoding through the user interface

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, then click the Mail Format tab.
  2. In the Message format section, click International Options, then select Auto-Select encoding for outgoing messages.

What to do when PDF files do not open correctly or when your browser displays a blank white screen after trying to open the PDF file…

If the Adobe Acrobat viewer doesn’t display PDF files inside your Web browser as expected, try Solution 1 or update to the latest version of the Acrobat viewer. Some PDF’s use security features that may not run in older versions.

If Solution 1 does not work, I would try Solution 2 and make sure that the Acrobat viewer can read the PDF file by downloading it to your hard disk. If these solutions do not fix your problem, try applying one or more of the other solutions listed below.

Unicode in Javascript

Some of the HTML entities are not properly evaluated by the JavaScript interpreter when assigning them as values of option items. This may be due to browser dependent issues.

For example, in the case you store your native language inputs in your database in utf-8 format and you face problem where the characters are displayed as &# 20140; &# 20165; &# 23613; instead of the real character then you might want to try the code below.
